About billiard cues
If originally the billiard cue consisted of one piece, but subject to bending and difficult to transport, for decades have spread the slats to joint.
The cue it is composed of 2 basic parts:
- BUTT: the part used to give strength to the blow. Some are very complex, to handle the weight change, a real system of balancing weights, suitable especially for the game of five-pins.
The grip is part of butt that is close by hand.

Materials and techniques are varying the weight of a cue from 500 to 800 grams approximately.

MATERIALS
The most common materials go from the traditional woods such as rosewood, ebony, maple, walnut and Alcantara, to others more modern materials such as aluminum or synthetic Carbon fiber.
Often, the Butt can be embellished with inlaid wengé wood or Shell, all but well-balanced for maximum playability, combining low weight and control. Ferrules, are designed for flexibility, combining the ability to push with right weight: are made of fibers woven of copper, Kevlar and other synthetic fibers, such as mixtures of graphite and K-max, also inherited from the aerospace industry for maximum ease in the game.
